Wild Animals spawn when the map is generated, and once they are all gone, do not return. Although they do supply Townsfolk with resources when slaughtered, it is not currently possible to build farms for these creatures to enable a renewable population.

Wild Animal types:[ | ]

Birds[ | ]

Flying birds come in two varieties, Birds and Snow Birds. They are found flying throughout the map.

Appearance[ | ]

Birds can only spawn randomly upon grass tiles when the map is generated, wheras Snow Birds follow similar rules but can only spawn on snow.

Uses[ | ]

Birds can provide two different resources for the Townsfolk to use; Raw poultry and bones can be harvested one of two ways: right-clicking the bird and selecting "kill bird", or building a Butcher Table and queuing up tasks in the auto production menu. The bird will not survive either method. Additionally, birds are used in a decorative item, Bird in a golden cage, and as a crafting material in Boots of haste.
Note: Because birds are flying entities, be careful when issuing kill orders. Many users report the citizen never being able to kill the bird.
